Why Reelway

Video projects rarely break in the edit. They break around it.

Client feedback, file handoffs, team assignments, and invoices usually live in different tools. Reelway puts them in one place, connected to the video they're about.

“Around the one-minute mark, the logo feels off?”

Feedback arrives across emails and chat threads, with vague timestamps and no clear link to the version it's about.

With Reelway

Comments are pinned to the exact second of a specific version, with drawings right on the frame.

“Which one is the final final?”

Raw footage, drafts, and finals are spread across drives and download links that expire or get lost.

With Reelway

Each video keeps its raw clips, review cuts, and final masters together on one timeline.

“Who's editing this, and when is it due?”

Nobody can see which videos are stuck in editing, waiting on the client, or about to miss a deadline.

With Reelway

Every video has an owner, a due date, and a stage — and your dashboard flags what needs attention.

“Did they pay the deposit yet?”

Invoices live in a separate spreadsheet, so balances and late payments slip through the cracks.

With Reelway

Invoices are tied to each project's budget, with partial payments and overdue amounts tracked automatically.

Features

Everything between the first upload and the final invoice

The tools your studio uses every day, built around the video itself — not bolted on from a generic project tracker.

Production pipeline

Know exactly where every video stands

Each project breaks down into individual videos that move through six stages: Not Started, In Progress, Internal Review, Client Review, Approved, and Delivered.

  • Assign each video to an editor and give it a due date
  • Upload raw footage, drafts, and final masters to each video's timeline — or add a YouTube link
  • Editors see only the videos assigned to them, so their queue stays focused

Frame-accurate review

Feedback pinned to the exact frame

Pause on any moment and leave a comment at that timestamp. Drop a pin, sketch, draw an arrow, or box an area right on the frame — no more guessing what “the thing on the left” means.

  • Timeline markers show which notes are open, resolved, or include a drawing
  • Switch between versions (V1, V2, V3…) and review each one on its own
  • Mark feedback resolved as revisions land, so nothing gets missed

Client review links

Share a link. Get an approval.

Send clients a private review link from your workspace. They watch the cut, leave timestamped comments and drawings, and approve it with their name — no account or password required.

  • Decide whether each link allows approvals and downloads
  • Set links to expire after 7, 14, or 30 days — or keep them open
  • See which links have been approved, and revoke any link at any time

Payments & invoicing

Get paid for the work you deliver

Create invoices against each project's budget, record partial payments, and see at a glance what's collected, pending, and overdue across every client.

  • Print or save any invoice as a PDF
  • Email clients a payment notification with your own note
  • Track each project's remaining balance and your collection rate

How it works

From signup to first approved cut in four steps

Reelway follows the way video work already flows through a studio.

  1. 1

    Create your workspace

Choose a studio name and workspace address. Your team signs in and works at your-studio.reelwayapp.com.

  2. 2

    Add clients and projects

Set up each client, then create projects with a budget and due date and add the videos they need to deliver.

  3. 3

    Assign, upload, and edit

Invite your editors, assign each video, upload footage and cuts, and move work through the pipeline.

  4. 4

    Review, approve, and invoice

Share a review link, collect frame-accurate feedback and approval, then invoice the project and track payment.

Built for the whole team

Everyone sees the part of the job that's theirs

Invite teammates by email and choose their role. Clients join through review links, not seats.

  • Owners & admins

Full access to clients, projects, payments, team members, and plans & billing — with a dashboard of deadlines, approvals, and pending payments.

  • Lead editors & editors

A focused workspace with just the videos assigned to them. Open each video's timeline, upload footage and cuts, and work through feedback.

  • Your clients

No account needed. Open the review link, comment on exact moments, draw on the frame, and approve the cut.

And a lot more

The details that keep a studio running smoothly

  • Your own workspace address

Each studio gets its own subdomain, so your team and data stay in a dedicated workspace.

  • Direct-to-cloud uploads

Footage and cuts upload straight from the browser to cloud storage, attached to the right video.

  • Deadlines that surface themselves

The dashboard highlights upcoming deadlines, overdue tasks, and cuts waiting on approval.

  • Notifications that matter

Get notified about new review feedback, approved videos, status changes, and payments received.

  • A client roster with history

See each client's active, in-review, and completed projects alongside what's billed, pending, and overdue.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know before setting up your studio's workspace.

Who is Reelway for?
Video production studios, creative agencies, and editing teams that deliver video work to clients. If you juggle multiple clients, editors, review rounds, and invoices at once, Reelway keeps them in one place.
Do my clients need an account to review videos?
No. You send a review link from the video's page. Clients open it, enter their name, and can leave timestamped comments with drawings on the frame. Depending on the link's settings, they can also approve the cut and download it. Links can expire after 7, 14, or 30 days, and you can revoke them at any time.
How does my team get access?
When you sign up, you choose a workspace address such as your-studio.reelwayapp.com. From Team Members, invite teammates by email as an Administrator, Lead Editor, or Editor. Owners and admins manage the whole studio; lead editors and editors see the videos assigned to them.
Can I change my workspace address later?
No — the workspace address is set when you create your workspace and can't be changed afterwards, so pick one that fits your studio. You can update your profile and studio settings at any time.
How do I add footage and cuts?
Open a video and add assets to its timeline. You can upload files from your computer — they go straight to cloud storage — or add a YouTube link. Raw footage, review cuts, and versions all stay attached to that video.
What can I do with invoices and payments?
Create invoices against a project's budget, record full or partial payments, and track pending and overdue amounts. You can print or save any invoice as a PDF and email your client a payment notification with a custom note.
Is there a referral program?
Yes. Owners and admins get a personal referral link on the Referrals page inside the app. Anyone who signs up through it gets a discount on their first payment, and you earn a one-time cash commission once they pay. Commissions are held briefly for the refund window and then paid out to the details you save in the app.
How much does Reelway cost?
Reelway starts with a 7-day free trial, then plans start at $9 per month — see the pricing section for what each includes in team members, storage, and projects. Signing up only takes your name, email, and a workspace name — no payment details are needed to start your trial.
